Jenifer Einstein is in the Neuroscience PhD program and is joining the Shcheglovitov lab for a rotation. Originally from New York state, she has undergraduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in linguistics and neuroscience, and a masters degree in biochemistry from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Jenifer has been enjoying all the outdoor activities in Utah - camping, hiking, and seeing the national parks. She also likes to read and do aerial fabric performances. During her rotation, she is working on developing a high throughput assay to look at synapse formation using optogenetics and multi-electrode array containing 48-well plates, as well as working with Yueqi to assemble an optimized retroviral tracing construct using molecular biology. |
